Diplomatic Immunity

Sometimes my mother gets on my nerves. Naa, alot of times my mother gets on my nerves. Growing up with a single mother is tough at times you know, it wears down on mom and she starts to act irrationally at times. Whenever I get real mad and I feel like I want to spazz out, I call my grandmother and she calms me down. One particular time I called Gramdukez, she told me some very wise and clever instruction. She told me "the only way you are going to be successful is you have to be diplomatic." By this she means by being able to be diplomatic with my mother, I will be successful in the world and in life. I noticed that this is very true.

First of all, lemme give a little definition of diplomatic: Skill in managing negotiations, handling people, etc., so that there is little or no ill will; tact. To be diplomatic means to be skilled in dealing with sensitive matters or people(my mother). I learned to exercise my diplomacy everyday and it is very rewarding. The world is a friendly place I've learned. All people really want is a sense of security or feeling like their space is being respected. Simply saying hi to people you do not know is diplomatic. I never used to practice this in the past because I had a rough life and wasn't really sure how I felt about other people. But just being pleasant and tactful in dealing with others is rewarding to self. And the major role of being diplomatic is to to gain an advantage and look out for self-interest by being able to deal with others skillfully. The best thing I've done for myself this past year is to let go of my pride and just be diplomatic. This gives me the ablity to co-exist without insecurites, and not really care what other people think about me and live my life peacefully with less tension, but at the same time, be able to make somebody elses life better. I suggest alot of my fellow human beings work on this skill everyday because it would make the world a better place. I don't have anything against modern science and technology, in fact, I love it. But I feel like our advances in technology and modern science are starting to cause us to lose alot of our core values that make us the creatures that we are. If we work on simple things and teach our kids these things, it would really make a differece.

My minds EYE

As my boy Jay said, "sure books can guide you but your heart defines you." So I like to look at shit like life is a expensive game for those who's hearts are rich enough to play. Don't make sense gettin mad about shit because shit is just gonna be shit. All you can do is flush it down the toilet. The other day at 3am this dumb clown(for lack of a better word) got locked out of the building and decided to knock on my roommates window maaaaaaaaaad hard(not even knowing whos window he was knocking on) and woke the house up. Now you know how black folks get when we tired. DONT FUCK WIT US WHEN WE TIRED!! LOL. I was pretty upset when all my roommate did was let him in. I felt like that was grounds for confrontation right there, but its a new world we living in. You never know whats going on in the next mans mind. I just watched a youtube video of a man in his mid-thirties taking his son on a subway train in New York. It looked like a normal father/son situation u kno. They were standing next to the door because the seats was filled up. The man had a backpack on and he was standing casually looking around; he calmly found a seat for his son(about 5, maybe 6 years old) and sat him down, but after he sat his son down he went back to standing. Where he was standing, there was a man sleeping next to him in a seat. He reached into his bookbag, pulled out a hammer, and started beatin the man damn near to death with it.... yea, and when the train stopped, the guy tried to exit the train thinking maybe that would calm homie down. But the man followed him on to the platform and kept fuckin him up, leaving his 6 year old son aboard the train by his lonesome. Damnn... Now thats some crazy shit to see your father do, that boy is gonna be a menace and it aint even his fault really.. I don't know why the world keeps getting crazier and crazier. Sometimes I think maybe we are just animals and maybe we shud stop fooling ourselves. Maybe thats what makes us all depressed and out of shape and what not lol. On another note, I wanna talk about the datin life. I like hollerin at females. Especially when theres a large group of them, sitting by the swimming pool, talking casually... and I just go over there and just.... Run that shit namean... "hey honey buns.... you like pop-tarts?" I love basketball because growing up in New York/New Jersey that was all you did as a young child until you got old enough to get laid. I played varsity all through high school; Im only 5'10" and 165 pounds but im very aggressive and quick so that makes up for my size. So now, I play the game moreso for fun and less passionately because its good for the mind. I don't take it too seriously at all anymore, the only thing I am serious about is winning because I hate losing more than I like winning. I wanna go Pro. As far as professions go, I feel like you should never retire from your craft of what you do. Whatever you do should make you feel good in your heart and you should have good dreams when you sleep at nights and it should take you to your old age. A man with a purpose lives long. Another thing I wanna talk about is humility. My mother is Jamaican and she used to always tell me this saying as a child "Humble man ride donkey." I used to laugh at her because it always sounded funny to me, but as I got older I realized that there are a handful of humble people in this world and they always are the people who live happily and fearlessly because they are not hiding behind pride, so they never feel shame. Now the folks who got they head all up they own ass are the ones that have to calculate every move they make and are stingy because they don't understand that giving is what makes you grow, instead they think someone is always trying to get "one-up" on them. Life is not a race......... Its great to be a competitor and/or a leader when it is time to do so. But Life is more than being better than the next man. Its better to compete with yourself. Because alot of times its yourself who you are really competing with but don't even know it.
