Diplomatic Immunity
Sometimes my mother gets on my nerves. Naa, alot of times my mother gets on my nerves. Growing up with a single mother is tough at times you know, it wears down on mom and she starts to act irrationally at times. Whenever I get real mad and I feel like I want to spazz out, I call my grandmother and she calms me down. One particular time I called Gramdukez, she told me some very wise and clever instruction. She told me "the only way you are going to be successful is you have to be diplomatic." By this she means by being able to be diplomatic with my mother, I will be successful in the world and in life. I noticed that this is very true.
First of all, lemme give a little definition of diplomatic: Skill in managing negotiations, handling people, etc., so that there is little or no ill will; tact. To be diplomatic means to be skilled in dealing with sensitive matters or people(my mother). I learned to exercise my diplomacy everyday and it is very rewarding. The world is a friendly place I've learned. All people really want is a sense of security or feeling like their space is being respected. Simply saying hi to people you do not know is diplomatic. I never used to practice this in the past because I had a rough life and wasn't really sure how I felt about other people. But just being pleasant and tactful in dealing with others is rewarding to self. And the major role of being diplomatic is to to gain an advantage and look out for self-interest by being able to deal with others skillfully. The best thing I've done for myself this past year is to let go of my pride and just be diplomatic. This gives me the ablity to co-exist without insecurites, and not really care what other people think about me and live my life peacefully with less tension, but at the same time, be able to make somebody elses life better. I suggest alot of my fellow human beings work on this skill everyday because it would make the world a better place. I don't have anything against modern science and technology, in fact, I love it. But I feel like our advances in technology and modern science are starting to cause us to lose alot of our core values that make us the creatures that we are. If we work on simple things and teach our kids these things, it would really make a differece.

Yea, I know this is real old school but uhhmm, so what. Popeye was and is my favorite cartoon character of all-time because he kept it real. lol. They say a picture says 1000 words, so you look at that picture and then tell me that popeye aint the shit. haha. that boy will mess you up. He made it cool to get a anchor tatoo and eat spinach. He also made it cool to take on the neighborhood bully. So if he aint the man, then who is?
